This heavy duty industrial grade shelving system is made from high quality E-Z-RECT Type 1 components to provide an extremely strong and stable structure for the items you are storing. Steel tube posts and bracing connectors are used to make rigid end frame assemblies that perform far better than typical angle post systems under heavy loads. Although this is a heavier duty rack, it still benefits from a simple boltless assembly and shelves that can be easily adjusted in 50mm increments.

This Type 1 shelving bay has 6ft high (1830mm) posts which will provide a top shelf that most people will be able to reach without a step ladder. The unit can be purchased with 4, 5 or 6 shelves as standard, each level comes with front and rear steel support bars and a one-piece chipboard deck. Purchase a starter bay for standalone single units and then add cheaper add-on bays if you want the shelving to be connected (click on the thumbnail below to see an example Type 1 layout).

Important note: Our Longspan, Type 1 and Trimline racking systems are normally delivered on large pallets, components (especially those over 2m in length) can be difficult to offload from the delivery lorry without a fork lift truck and may require hand-unloading. Sizing Guide: Heavy Duty Type 1 Shelving
To calculate the overall length of a shelving bay please add 40mm for each upright.
The table below shows the overall length of shelving runs in mm when using a single starter bay and subsequent add-ons.
For the overall depth of a shelving bay please add 25mm to the nominal size specified.
