Heavy Duty Industrial Roller Racking
Movable shelving systems are not only suited to the office and stockroom environments, many of our mobile storage units are also installed within engineering factories, workshops and industrial service depots.
Industrial mobile shelving operates on the same principles as our lighter duty units but feature heavy duty racking mounted to the rolling base. The modular chassis is compatible with a wide range of racking systems. The photo here shows a mobile system built using our popular Longspan racking bays, providing extra deep shelves capable of holding up to 450kg (UDL) in weight per level.
For those workshops and factories who already have good quality shelving installed, mobile shelving conversions are also available. For growing businesses on a tight budget, re-purposing existing storage racks and turning them into mobile units is a very cost-effective way to increase storage capacity.
As with all mobile systems, the main benefit is the removal of unused aisle space - this enables more racking to be fitted, or alternatively it can reduce the amount of storage space required.
